Halloween Fun

Some people love this day of celebration, others not so much. What isn't fun about throwing on a costume and being someone else for a change?!?! I loved doing this when my kids were little, carving pumpkins, decorating the house, baking halloween desserts, creating a festive mood in the house!! Now I stray more to fall decor than halloween, maybe a pumpkin or two (not carved) just so the neighborhood kids find our house friendly and inviting. Whatever the decorations are the perfect halloween dinner is chili or soup, something that can be made ahead fo time, easy to prepare and serve. I know I seem to be on a soup roll, but there are so many options. The combination of flavors all thrown into the pot, vegetables, lentils, beans, seasonings, onions, garlic, rice, noodles...even chicken and beef, see what I mean??? So start creating, throw it in the pot and see what you get...WITCHES BREW!
