There are so many emotions we can hold in a day, to me one of the most debilitating emotions we can have is fear. So many times fear can over power love, happiness, compassion, comfort, content, peace of mind...Fear of change is one I come up against a lot with my clients, also fear of the unknown. The thing is, we don't have to know everything, and change can be good, especially when it means improving your health and well being.
Many of us are creatures of habit, I know I am, so when it comes to changing things in your life, or attempting something you haven't done before, or stepping out of your comfort zone to do something, fear starts to rear its ugly head. Yes I did say ugly, fear can be such an ugly emotion, keeping us from doing so many things we want to do or need to do. The thing is, in reality, fear will always be there, being fearless can make us careless, but being brave when the fear starts to creep in, that is something to work for.
Recognize your fear, know that it's intent is to protect you, thank it, appreciate it, even let it come along for the ride. On each and every journey you take, make sure that fear doesn't navigate, change the course, make decisions, speak, change the radio station, and the most important, FEAR is not allowed to drive!!!
So be brave when it comes to your health and make choices and changes that will help you achieve a happy healthy lifestyle, no matter what those changes may be. You are in control at all times, the choices you make from here on out should be for your greatest and highest good, regardless of how that may look. Make space for yourself, not fear, be brave in the knowing and trusting the choices you make and the directions go.
Marinated Chicken Breast
4 chicken breasts

Juice of 2 lemons
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp ginger, minced
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp red pepper flakes
Whisk olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, salt and red pepper flakes, together in a small bowl.
With a knife makes some holes in the chicken breasts, this helps some of the flavors to sink into the chicken while marinating.
Place all ingredients in a Ziplock bag, be sure the chicken is well covered with the marinade. Place ziplock in refrigerator and let marinade overnight.
Grill chicken on Medium high heat until cooked through, turning chicken several times.
