Experiences

Experiences...We all have them, good and bad, big and small, learning things about ourselves as we go. Our time here on this earth is an experience, so much happening, so much going on around us. Somethings may impact us and others just pass us by, some are shared and some are just our own. We all have the power within us to choose how we perceive our own experiences, accepting them and growing from them or with them.

Seasons bring on experiences of their own, what we choose to do, what we choose to see, living with them and all the opportunities they hold. Our lives can become richer, more enjoyable, more satisfying as we move through each one. Even if we stay in the same place all our lives, things are going on around us all the time, changes, growth, movement. This earth we live on gives us so much, don't we owe it to ourselves and the ground we walk on to experience all that is offered?! Whether the season brings different weather, a different holiday, different moods, different foods...what a great opportunity to create our own experiences. If you live close to it go to the beach, put your feet in the sand, any time of year, any season, listen to the waves, pack a lunch, take the family. If the mountains are close, climb one or drive up one, smell the air, hug a tree, so much to do.

The people you choose to be around, the things you choose to do, how you experience life is a choice. Choose to do more than expected, choose to do more than necessary, choose to do MORE. What you can't control, choose to have a different attitude, see the lessons in the experience, allowing yourself to grow.

Chipotle Bitchin Sauce (make your own)

Ingredients:

1 cup whole raw almonds

1 1/2 cups water

1/4 avocado oil, no seed oil!!

1/4 cup lemon

3 tbsp vinegar

2 tbsp tamari or Braggs liquid aminos

1 tbsp tomato paste

3 tbsp nutritional yeast

3-4 garlic cloves

2 tsp crushed chipotle peppers

2 tsp smoked paprika

2 tsp kosher salt

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp ground cumin

pinch cayenne

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a blender, and blend for at least 5 minutes until the mixture is smooth.

Refrigerate in a sealed container. As it sits it will separate and that is normal, just stir it up and enjoy.

*I tried my food processor, but with the almonds the whole thing moved around and made a mess, so I found the blender a lot easier and less mess:). Great to put on chicken, meats, burgers, dip veggies and or crackers...
