Feelings

"Act the way you want to feel", strong words to live by. Attitude is everything, your mood, your disposition, your outlook, your energy (what you put out in the world). What you put out there is usually what you get back in return, our feelings have so much to do with how we live each day. Your attitude can cover so many areas of your life and how you choose your attitude to be makes such a difference in your day. It also makes a difference in your health and lifestyle, so again I say "act the way you want to feel"!!!

Your feelings and health work together making it possible for you to live your best life, looking healthy, being healthy, but what is most important is feeling healthy. Looking healthy, what does that mean?? Okay, so you have a lean frame, your go to the gym regularly, you aren't a big eater, your weight is where it should be, BUT how do you feel??? Or, you have been to the doctor and check up says that you are good, nothing alarming to report, all is good, alright, yes there is some relief, BUT how do you feel??? All this can be what is going on in your life, BUT, what matters most is how do you feel?? Do you have the energy you need to get through all that you need to do in your day, are you sleeping well, do you wake up feeling good physically and mentally, is your brain alive and alert??? Feeling healthy means so much more than what the doctor tells you, or the scale tells you, or your best friend tells you, or the mirror tells you, it is what is inside that counts.

Your body, mind and attitude will let you know whether or not you are healthy and they all need to be working together in order to keep you healthy. Feed these with good nourishing food, physical activity that you enjoy, things that keep your mind engaged and challenged. Stay away from the negativity, the people that lower your energy, a job that compromises who you are, anything that gets in the way of your happy confident authentic self. Once you have started that journey then it will be easy to wake up and "act the way you want to feel" because there will not be anything in your way of living your best happy, healthy life!!! Savor the feeling of healthy, and BE THE HAPPY!


Cilantro Lime Drumsticks


Ingredients:

8 drumsticks

zest of 1 lime

1/2 cup lime juice

1/4 cup coconut nectar

1/2 cup fresh chopped cilantro

1/2 chopped yellow onion

1 jalapeno, seeded and minced

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper


Directions:

Heat oven to 425 degrees

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

In a large ziplock bag add all the ingredients, seal the bag and mix the ingredients around with your hands. Or, stir all the ingredients in a large bowl and let marinade at least two hours or overnight.

Once marinaded, place drumsticks on baking sheet and roast 40-45 minutes turning once halfway through cooking time.
