You are probably wondering what makeup has to do with food and health???? I am not talking about eye shadow, mascara, lipstick... I am referring to your own physical makeup, Websters dictionary defines it better; Makeup- The way in which something is put together or arranged. The physical, mental and moral character of a person. This is the makeup I am going to talk about, your character, the way you are put together and arranged.
A persons makeup is very important to consider when I comes to making changes to their lifestyle. It is very difficult to come up with one scenario that will work for everyone, giving people the same meal plan will not work the same for every client. Who they are, what they do, where they come from, their very being is different from each other. Are you familiar with your own personal makeup, can you define or explain your physical, mental and moral character. If the answer is no, then this is where you need to start in oder to understand what changes need to be made. Changing your lifestyle to a happier healthier one, needs to be something that you can live with the rest of your life. It is a LIFESTYLE change!!! Being aware of your makeup will help you make the changes that will stay, and work for you and your way of life.
We are all unique in our own makeup, there might be similarities with others, but unique just the same. Take time to think about it, write your makeup down on a piece of paper, or several pieces of paper. A journal is a good place to start, your thoughts and your actions can help you look into yourself, reading your own words. This can be very enlightening, you can learn a lot about yourself when you journal. I doesn't take much time and you only write what comes to you or what you are feeling. Journaling doesn't need to be long or forced, it is a way to sit with your thoughts, and write them down. Or, you can have journal topics for yourself sending your thoughts in a certain direction. However you choose to find out about you personal makeup, get started so that you can begin to change the things that don't work for you, and implement the things that will work to change your life for the better.
It is almost the opposite of what makeup does on your face, covering imperfections, enhancing features you were born with, changing your natural look. Your physical makeup is what is underneath, beneath the surface, what lies within, the authentic you!! I'm not saying that the mascara, lipstick, blush, etc. aren't good, but let's go a bit deeper, below the surface and see what kind of character you have. There is so much to know and understand, what's most important, is to enjoy the process!
